Funnel Cakes
Funnel Cakes is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/3 c. all-purpose flour, 1/4 tsp. salt, 1/4 tsp. baking soda, 2 tbsp. sugar and 3/4 tsp. baking powder, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

In a medium bowl, sift together flour, salt, baking soda, sugar and baking powder.
In a small bowl, add egg (slightly beaten) and milk.
Stir together and add to flour mixture.
(If batter is too thick, add small amount of milk.)
Beat until smooth.
Hold finger over bottom of funnel and pour in some batter.
Remove finger and let batter drop in a spiral motion into pan filled with 1-inch of hot oil (375Β°).
Fry until golden brown, turning once.
Remove and drain on paper towel.
Sprinkle with powdered sugar. Serve hot.
