Fruit Pie
Fruit Pie is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3/4 to 1 c. sugar, 1/4 c. flour or 2 1/2 to 3 tbsp. quick cooking tapioca, 1/2 tsp. cinnamon or 1/4 tsp. almond flavoring, 1/2 c. fruit juice and 3 1/2 to 4 c. fruit, drained, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Cook the first four ingredients over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens and boils.
Pour over the drained fruit.
Mix lightly and pour into a 9-inch pie crust.
Dot with butter on top of fruit.
Cover with crust which has slits cut in.
Bake at 425° for 15 minutes, turn oven down to 350° for 30 to 40 minutes until crust is golden brown.
