Fruit Cake Cookies
Fruit Cake Cookies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 c. shortening, 1 c. brown sugar, 1 egg, 1/4 c. sour milk and 1 3/4 c. sifted flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
Mix thoroughly the shortening, brown sugar and egg.
Stir in sour milk.
Sift together the flour, soda and salt and stir in. Mix pecans, cherries and dates.
Chill.
Heat oven to 400Β° (moderately hot).
Drop dough about 2 inches apart on lightly greased baking sheet.
Top each cookie with pecan half or cherry. Makes 4 dozen.
Bake 8 to 10 minutes.
Chill before baking.
