Fruit Bites
Fruit Bites is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 c. slivered blanched almonds, 1 c. finely snipped pitted dates, 1/2 c. granulated sugar, 1 egg white, unbeaten and 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
Make a few days before serving.
Combine almonds, dates, sugar, egg whites and vanilla.
Refrigerate 1 hour.
Heat oven to 325Β°.
Shape mixture into balls and top with cherry half.
Bake on greased cookie sheet 15 to 20 minutes.
Let stand 3 minutes. Store tightly covered.
Makes about 2 dozen.
