Frozen Cucumbers
Frozen Cucumbers is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 4 c. pared and thin sliced cucumbers, 2 c. thin sliced onions, 1/2 c. white vinegar (no other kind), 1 tsp. dill weed and 4 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

Combine cucumbers, onion, salt and water.
Let stand in glass or enamelware
2 hours.
Drain well, do not rinse; return to bowl.
Add sugar, vinegar and dill weed. Let stand, stirring occasionally, until sugar is dissolved, about 1 1/2 hours.
Cover bowl while cucumbers are standing.
Put in containers and freeze.
