Fried Rice
Fried Rice is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. cooked rice, cooked per pkg. instructions, 2 c. chicken broth or water, 1 small carrot, diced, 1/2 small onion, diced and 1 tbsp. butter or peanut oil, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Heat broth to boiling.
Add rice and turn down heat; cover for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
In a small, nonstick pan or wok on medium heat, put butter or oil, carrots and onion and cook until onion is translucent.
Take out onion and carrot.
Scramble 1 egg; add onion and carrot back to egg and add cooked rice.
Cook over medium heat about 3 to 5 minutes.
Add soy sauce, if desired. Serve hot.
