Combine dry ingredients.

Cut Crisco into dry ingredients.

Slightly beat egg and blend it into Milnot.

Mix liquid mixture into dry ingredients and stir with large fork or with hands until mixed well.

Shape into large ball and pinch off about golf ball size pieces or larger, depending on how large you want to make your pies.

Roll out thin and put about a tablespoon of filling on one side; fold over and crimp the sides.

Cook in hot cooking oil until brown; turn and brown other side.

Cool on rack or paper towel.
