Fried Green Tomatoes
Fried Green Tomatoes is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3 or 4 medium green tomatoes, 2 eggs, slightly beaten, 1/4 c. milk, salt to taste and pepper to taste, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.
Wash, core and slice tomatoes into thin slices.
In a low bowl, beat eggs, add milk, salt, pepper and flour.
Mix together well.
If too thick, add more milk; if too thin, add more flour. Heat cooking oil in a large skillet.
Dip tomato slices in egg mixture and place in hot oil.
Brown on both sides; serve hot.
