Mix sugar, jello and cornstarch together in a saucepan.
Add water; mix.
Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly and boil 5 minutes.
Pour into bowl and let cool.
Pour over whole stemmed strawberries.
Then pour into crust.
Chill; top with Cool Whip.
