Fresh Berry Cobbler
Fresh Berry Cobbler is an easy dinner. Made with 2 1/2 c. fresh berries, washed and prepared, 1/2 c. sugar, 2 tbsp. presifted flour, 3/4 c. cold water or fruit juice and 1 tbsp. butter or margarine, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
Preheat oven to 375°. Prepare and wash fresh berries.
Add sugar and set aside.
Blend together in saucepan flour and water (or juice).
Cook over medium heat until mixture comes to a boil, stirring constantly.
Add berry mixture and cook over low heat until just tender.
Pour hot mixture into a 1 1/2 quart casserole.
Dot with butter or margarine and add spices if desired.
Prepare Sweet Drop Biscuit Dough Recipe (found in Bread section).
Drop batter from a spoon onto berry mixture.
Bake in a preheated 375° oven for 35 to 40 minutes.
Serve hot, with cream if desired.
Makes 5 to 6 servings.
