French Onion Soup
French Onion Soup is an easy dinner. Made with 1/4 lb. butter, 4 or 5 big onions, about 2 c. beef consomm, melba toast or french bread and swiss cheese, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Heat the butter in frying pan.
Slice the onions and brown in butter until almost burned.
Heat the consomm in another pan.
Pour this over the onions and let boil slowly about 10 minutes.
Brown Melba toast or French bread in butter.
Put in the soup.
Grate a lot of Swiss cheese and pour on top.
Place under broiler until the cheese melts.
