Freezer Pickles
Freezer Pickles is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 25 medium cucumbers, 6 to 8 medium onions, 1/2 c. salt, 1 1/2 pt. white vinegar and 5 c. sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

Slice cucumbers and onions very thin.
Cover with ice water and 1/2 cup of salt.
Cover and refrigerate 48 hours.
Drain well.
Bring 1 1/2 pints of vinegar and 5 cups of sugar to a boil. Let cool.
Pack jars loosely with cucumbers and onions.
Pour vinegar and sugar over the cucumbers and onions in the jars. Seal.
Freeze.
Thaw in refrigerator overnight.
