Freezer Oatmeal Cookies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. shortening, 1 c. white sugar, 1 c. brown sugar, 2 eggs and 1 1/2 c. flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Cream shortening and sugar.
Add beaten eggs and beat well. Add dry ingredients, beating well.
Add oatmeal, vanilla and nuts. Shape in rolls and wrap in waxed paper.
Place in freezer and bake as needed.
Slice 1/4 inch thick.
Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 350Β° for 10 minutes.
Yields 5 dozen.
