Frankfurter Casserole
Frankfurter Casserole is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 slices bacon or 1 tbsp. margarine, 1/2 c. chopped onion, 1 can condensed cream of mushroom soup, 1/2 c. milk and 1/4 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Cook bacon, if used, and remove from pan.
Saute onion in bacon drippings or else in a tablespoon of margarine.
Stir in cream of mushroom soup and milk with salt and pepper.
Add boiled potatoes, sliced frankfurters and beans or peas.
Pour into greased 1 1/2-quart casserole.
Bake at 350Β° for 30 minutes and top before serving with crumbled bacon if desired.
Yields 4 to 6 servings.
