Foolproof Pie Crust
Foolproof Pie Crust is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 4 c. flour, 1 3/4 c. shortening, 1 tbsp. salt, 1/2 c. water and 1 tbsp. vinegar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
In a large bowl, stir with fork, the flour, sugar and salt. Cut in shortening until crumbly.
In small bowl, beat together egg, water and vinegar.
Add to flour mixture until well moistened; divide dough into 5 portions and shape into a flat round patty, ready for rolling.
Wrap each in plastic or waxed paper; chill at least 30 minutes.
Add more flour for rolling and handling too much will not effect this dough.
It will keep in refrigerator for 3 to 5 days.
