Fly-off-the-Plate Rolls

Dissolve yeast in warm water. Pour hot water over the sugar, butter and salt; add 2 cups flour. Beat as hard as possible. Let cool to lukewarm. Add the yeast mixture and remainder of flour. Knead well and let rise until double, about 1 1/2 hours. Shape into rolls or 2 loaves of bread.
Let rise again. Bake 20 minutes (rolls) or 50 minutes (loaves) in a 375Β° oven.
