Flour Tortillas
Flour Tortillas is an easy dinner. Made with 4 c. flour, 1 tsp. salt, 1/8 tsp. baking powder, 1/3 c. shortening and 1 1/4 c. warm water, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.
Mix dry ingredients.
Then cut in shortening.
Mix well before adding water.
Add water a little at a time. Roll mixture into small balls (about 1 1/2 to 2-inches).
Let dough rest for 5 minutes.
Roll into about 8-inch size tortillas.
Cook in medium hot skillet 20 seconds on first side.
Then turn and cook until done.
Makes about 17 tortillas.
