Filled Sugar Cookies
Filled Sugar Cookies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 5 c. all-purpose flour, 1 tsp. baking soda, 1 tsp. baking powder, 1/2 tsp. salt and 1 c. shortening, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

Sift flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
Cream shortening and sugars.
Beat eggs and vanilla until fluffy and add to shortening mixture.
Mix well.
Stir in sour milk (which can be made by adding vinegar or lemon juice to whole milk) and flour mixture.
Stir well.
Chill dough in refrigerator for several hours.
Turn out dough on lightly floured surface; roll and cut with biscuit cutter.
Place a teaspoon of filling on each bottom piece.
Seal with another.
Bake at 350Β° for 10 minutes.
