Feather-Light Banana Nut Bread
Feather-Light Banana Nut Bread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3/4 c. shortening (crisco), 6 tbsp. buttermilk, 3/4 c. bananas, mashed, 3/4 tsp. salt and 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
Cream shortening and gradually add sugar.
Add eggs and mix well.
Add buttermilk to which baking soda has been added, alternately with dry ingredients.
Add mashed bananas and mix well.
Dredge nuts with flour and add to the mixture.
Pour into a prepared loaf pan.
Bake at 350Β° for 1 hour or until done.
