Farm-Style Oatmeal Cookies
Farm-Style Oatmeal Cookies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. packed brown sugar, 1 c. lard or shortening, 1/2 c. buttermilk, 1 tsp. vanilla and 4 c. quick cooking oats, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
Heat oven to 375Β°.
Mix brown sugar, lard, buttermilk and vanilla.
Stir in remaining ingredients.
Shape dough into 1-inch balls.
Place about 3 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Flatten with bottom of glass dipped in water.
Bake until golden brown, 8 to 10 minutes.
Immediately remove from cookie sheet. Makes about 7 dozen.
