Extra Special Dinner Rolls
Extra Special Dinner Rolls is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 pkg. dry yeast, 1/4 c. sugar, 1/2 c. shortening, 1 c. warm milk and 4 to 4 1/2 c. all-purpose flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
Dissolve yeast in warm water in large mixing bowl.
Let stand 5 minutes.
Add sugar, shortening, eggs, warm milk, salt and flour.
Beat at low speed of electric mixer for one minute. Gradually, stir in enough flour to make a soft dough.
Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface.
Knead until smooth and elastic.
Shape dough into balls and place in greased bowl.
Cover and let rise in a warm place, free from draft for 1 hour.
Punch down dough.
Roll each ball in 12-inch circle.
Spread butter on circle and roll back up.
Place on greased baking sheet.
Cover and let rise 1 hour.
Bake at 400Β°.
