Evelyn's Caramel Corn
Evelyn'S Caramel Corn is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. packed brown sugar, 1 c. butter or oleo, 1/2 c. light corn syrup, 1 tsp. salt and 1 tsp. soda, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.
In a heavy saucepan, combine sugar, butter, corn syrup and salt.
Heat to boiling.
Boil 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add soda and vanilla; mix thoroughly.
Pour over popped corn in large bowl.
Place on 2 jelly roll pans (15 x 10 x 1-inch) or 1 large roasting pan.
Bake at 200Β° for an hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
When cool, place in covered container.
