English Toffee
English Toffee is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. chopped almonds, 1 c. margarine or butter, 1/3 c. brown sugar, 1 c. sugar and 2 tbsp. water, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.

Melt butter and add sugars and water. Boil to 300Β° on candy thermometer.
Stir constantly.
Remove from heat.
Stir in baking soda and 1/2 cup chopped almonds. Spread in buttered cake pan 5 minutes.
Pour on chocolate chips and spread over toffee mix. Sprinkle on remaining almonds.
Cut immediately.
