English Muffin Bread
English Muffin Bread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 5 1/2 to 6 c. flour, 2 pkg. active dry yeast, 1 tbsp. sugar, 2 tsp. salt and 1/4 tsp. baking soda, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.

Combine 3 cups flour, yeast, sugar, salt and soda.
Heat liquid until very warm (120°).
Add to dry mixture and beat well. Stir in enough flour to make a stiff batter.
Spoon into 2 (8 1/2 x 4 1/2-inch) pans which have been greased and sprinkled with cornmeal.
Cover and let rise in warm place 45 minutes.
Bake at 400° for 25 minutes.
Remove from pans immediately and cool.
