Easy Onion Soup
Easy Onion Soup is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 4 large onions, 2 cloves garlic, 1/2 c. butter, 5 c. chicken broth and 1/2 c. sherry, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

In covered saucepan, cook onions and garlic in butter over low heat for 20 minutes.
Add stock and wine with 1/4 teaspoon pepper. Bring to boiling.
Cover and simmer for 15 minutes.
Toast bread. Top each with sliced cheese.
Sprinkle with Parmesan.
Broil for 2 minutes, or until cheese melts.
Ladle soups into 4 bowls.
Top each with a toast slice.
