Dumplings
Dumplings is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. plain flour, 1/2 tsp. salt, 4 tbsp. crisco, 2/3 c. milk (approximately) and 2 qt. chicken broth, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Combine flour and salt.
Cut in shortening.
Add milk (enough to make a stiff dough).
Roll out on lightly floured surface to a very thin layer. Cut into squares.
Drop dumplings (a few at a time) into boiling chicken broth.
Sprinkle with pepper.
