Doyle's Fruit Cobbler
Doyle'S Fruit Cobbler is an easy dinner. Made with 1 stick butter, melted, 1 c. sugar, 1 c. self-rising flour, 1 c. buttermilk and fruit (1 can peaches in heavy syrup or cherry or apple pie filling), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Melt butter. Pour into deep Pyrex or Corning Ware dish.
Mix next 3 ingredients into paste.
Spread as evenly as possible over melted butter.
Spread fruit evenly over this.
Pour a little of the fruit juice over it (reserve some juice).
Cook about 1 hour at 350Β° or until top is golden brown (crust rises to top).
After done, pour more juice evenly over top.
