Doubly Chocolate Cookies
Doubly Chocolate Cookies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. (2 sticks) margarine, softened, 1 1/2 c. sugar, 2 eggs, 2 tsp. vanilla extract and 2 c. all-purpose flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

Heat oven to 350Β°.
In large mixer bowl beat margarine, sugar, eggs and vanilla until light and fluffy.
Stir together flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt.
Add to sugar mixture.
Stir in chocolate chips and nuts, if desired.
Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake 8 to 10 minutes or just until set.
Cool slightly.
Remove from cookie sheet to wire rack.
Cool completely.
Yields about 4 dozen cookies.
