Dilly Casserole Onion Bread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 pkg. dry yeast (or 1 cake compressed), 2 tbsp. sugar, 1 tbsp. instant minced onion, 2 tsp. dill seed and 3/4 tsp. baking soda, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

Soften yeast in water.
Combine in mixing bowl, cottage cheese, sugar, onion, butter, dill, salt, baking soda, egg and yeast.
Add flour to form a stiff dough, beating well after each addition.
Cover and let rise in warm place (50 to 60 minutes). Stir down dough and turn into greased 8 inch round casserole (1 1/2 or 2 quart).
Let rise in warm place until light (30 to 40 minutes).
Bake at 350Β° for 30 to 40 minutes.
Brush with soft butter and sprinkle with salt.
