Dilly Bread
Dilly Bread is an impressive dinner. Made with 1 envelope active dry yeast, 1/4 c warm water, 1 c creamed cottage cheese, heated to lukewarm, 2 tbsp sugar and 1 tbsp instant minced onion, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
Soften yeast in water.
Combine cottage cheese, sugar, onion, butter, dill seed, sesame seeds, salt, soda, egg and softened yeast in mixer bowl.
Add flour slowly to form a stiff dough, beating well after each addition.
Cover; let rise in a warm place until doubled in bulk.
Stir down dough and turn into well greased casserole.
Let rise until light.
Bake at 350 degrees for 40-50 minutes or until golden brown.
Brush with soft butter and sprinkle with coarse salt.
Makes 1 round loaf.
