Diet Bread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 pkg. yeast, 1/2 c. warm water, 1 1/2 c. low sodium milk, 3 tsp. sugar and 4 tbsp. unsalted shortening, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Soften dry yeast in warm water.
In saucepan warm milk; stir in sugar and shortening.
Add yeast and mix well.
Work in flour. Shape in a ball and place in a greased bowl.
Cover; let rise in warm place for 1 1/2 hours.
Punch down and let rise again, about greased 9 x 4 x 3-inch loaf pans.
Cover and let rise about 1 hour.
Bake at 375Β° for about 45 minutes.
