Diabetic Apple Pie
Diabetic Apple Pie is an moderately easy dinner. Made with unbaked 2-crust pie shell, 5 or 6 pared, sliced apples, 6 oz. can frozen apple juice, 2 tbsp. cornstarch and 1/2 c. water, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.
Fill pie shell with sliced apples.
Heat apple juice to boiling.
Dissolve cornstarch in water and stir into hot juice. Cook until thickened.
Sprinkle cinnamon over apples.
Dot with butter.
Pour juice over all and cover with upper crust.
Prick crust.
Bake at 450° for 10 minutes.
Reduce heat to 350° and bake until done, 35 to 45 minutes.
