Denver Biscuits is an easy dinner. Made with 4 pkg. yeast, 1 c. shortening, 1 c. sugar and 1 qt. milk (get hot, then cool to lukewarm), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Dissolve yeast in warm water, 1/2 cup.

Add sugar and shortening to milk.

Then add 5 cups flour to make batter (it will be like pancake batter).

Set in warm place to rise until doubled. After doubled in size, add 1 teaspoon soda, 2 1/2 teaspoons salt and 2 teaspoons baking powder.

Add enough flour to make dough (2 1/2 cups).

Roll out on floured board and cut in 1-inch thick biscuits.

Place on greased cookie sheet and freeze.

After frozen, put in Ziploc bags.

Take out and thaw; let rise when needed.

Cook at 350Β°.
