Deep Dish Apple Pie
Deep Dish Apple Pie is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. sugar, 1/3 c. all-purpose flour, 1 tsp. ground cinnamon, 1/2 tsp. ground allspice and 1/4 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Packed with nutrients and delicious flavors.

Prepare pastry for single crust pie, except roll out into a 13 x 8 1/2-inch rectangle.
Cut slits in pastry.
Combine sugar, flour, cinnamon, allspice and salt.
(For a very juicy pie, use 1/4 cup all-purpose flour.)
Add sugar mixture to apples; toss to coat fruit.
Turn into a 12 x 7 1/2-inch baking dish; flute to the sides but not over the edge.
Brush with milk; sprinkle with sugar.
Cover edge of pie with foil.
Bake in a 375Β° oven for 25 minutes.
Remove foil; bake for 20 to 25 minutes more.
Serve warm in dishes.
Makes 10 servings.
