Date Nut Bread
Date Nut Bread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 lb. chopped dates, 2 tsp. soda, 2 c. hot water, 1/4 lb. butter and 2 c. sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.

Mix the first 3 ingredients and let stand.
Cream the butter, sugar and eggs.
Add flour, vanilla and salt.
Alternate with date mixture.
Fold in nuts.
Pour into 7 ungreased juice cans and bake for one hour at 325Β°.
Slice very thin and spread with softened cream cheese.
