Date Carrot Cake
Date Carrot Cake is an impressive dessert you can prepare in about 1 hour 24 minutes. Made with (20 oz.) can crushed pineapple, drained well, c. margarine, softened, c. brown sugar, packed, c. white sugar and eggs, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Preheat oven to 350°.
Cream margarine and sugar until light and fluffy; beat in eggs.
Add pineapple, carrots, dates and vanilla, beating well.
Combine dry ingredients and gradually add to creamed mixture.
Pour into greased 9 x 13-inch pan.
Bake at 350° for 50 to 60 minutes or until done.
Cool completely. Sprinkle top of cake with powdered sugar.
