Date Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3 tsp. butter (heaping), 1 1/2 c. sugar, 2 eggs, 1 lb. dates, cut up and 2 c. boiling water, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Cream together butter, sugar and eggs.
Pour boiling water over dates, then add soda and cool.
