Custard Sauce is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. sugar, 4 tbsp. flour, dash of salt, 2 well-beaten eggs and 1/2 c. cream, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

Mix sugar, flour and salt well in pan to be used in double boiler.
Add eggs and cream. Place pan over boiling water and immediately add 1 pint of boiling water slowly to mixture.
Stir constantly until thickened and smooth.
Remove from heat and add vanilla and butter.
Pour sauce over rolls when serving.
