Cucumber Sweet Pickles
Cucumber Sweet Pickles is an moderately easy dinner. Made with overripe cucumbers, vinegar, 1 tbsp. cinnamon, sugar and salt and water, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
Use overripe cucumbers only!
For every pound of cucumbers, allow 3 pounds of sugar and 1 quart of vinegar.
Let the cucumbers soak overnight in salt and water, then scald them in weak soft vinegar, sugar, cinnamon and cloves.
Boil a little, then put in the cucumbers and scald them until transparent, not soft.
These pickles are for overripe cucumbers only.
