Crispy Nutty Cookies is an impressive dinner. Made with 1 c. white sugar, 1 c. brown sugar, 1 tsp. vanilla, 1 tsp. baking powder and 1/2 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Cream shortening and sugar; add egg and mix well.
Sift dry ingredients twice and add to mixture.
Add vanilla.
Blend well and add oatmeal, cornflakes, coconut, chopped pecans and raisins (optional).
Spoon on greased baking sheet and bake at 350Β° for about 12 minutes or golden brown.
