Creamy Pralines
Creamy Pralines is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/2 c. light brown sugar, 1 1/2 c. granulated sugar, 1 c. evaporated milk, 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar and 1/8 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
Cook together the sugars, milk, salt and cream of tartar, stirring constantly, until forms soft ball or until thermometer registers 240Β°.
Remove from heat.
Add margarine and vanilla; stir until margarine melts.
Beat a minute or two.
Add pecans; continue to beat until mixture begins to thicken.
Drop quickly onto waxed paper by small spoonfuls.
Let cool until firm.
Makes about 50 (2-inch) pralines.
