Creamy Pound Cake
Creamy Pound Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 sticks butter, softened, 3 c. sugar, 6 eggs (room temperature), 3 c. cake flour and 1/2 pt. whipping cream, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.
Cream butter and sifted sugar thoroughly.
Beat in eggs, one at a time, on high speed.
Beat well.
Add flour which has been sifted 3 times alternately with whipping cream, adding flour first and last.
Add vanilla, lemon and almond extracts.
Cook in greased and floured pan at 325Β° for 1 1/2 to 2 hours until tested done.
Do not open oven during first hour.
Cool slightly before moving from pan.
