Cream Puffs
Cream Puffs is an moderately easy dinner you can prepare in about 1 hour 38 minutes. Made with c. water, of salt, whole eggs (room temperature), margarine and c. flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.
Bring water and margarine to boil; heat until margarine is melted.
Add salt, then dump in flour all at once.
Over medium heat, stir constantly as mixture cooks.
It will be done when the mass forms around the spoon (about 1 minute).
Remove to mixing bowl.
With beater at medium speed, beat in eggs, one at a time. Drop by spoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 400° for 10 minutes.
Reduce heat to 350° and bake for 15 minutes longer. Turn off oven.
Prick each puff with cake wire and leave in oven, heat off, for 30 minutes.
Cool thoroughly before filling.
Makes 2 1/2 to 3 dozen.
