Cream Puff Pie
Cream Puff Pie is an easy dinner. Made with 1/2 c. boiling water, 1/4 c. shortening, 1/8 tsp. salt, 1/2 c. flour and 2 eggs, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
Preheat oven to 400°.
In a saucepan, combine the water, shortening and salt until melted. Add flour and stir constantly until mixture leaves side of pan and forms a ball. Remove from heat and cool a few minutes. Beat in eggs, one at a time, until smooth and velvety. Spread in a greased 9-inch glass pie pan. Be sure to grease the sides of the pan but do not spread batter on sides. Bake 20 to 25 minutes at 400°, then reduce to 350°. Bake until done, about 35 to 40 minutes.
Cool away from any draft.
