Sugar, cornstarch and salt together.
Add heated milk slowly to mix.
Cook over double boiler until thickened. Add egg yolks and butter; reheat.
Add flavoring and cool. Make meringue egg whites.
Fill crust with filling and cover with meringue.
Brown in 400Β° oven.
