Cream Cheese Pastry is an easy dinner. Made with 1/2 c. butter or margarine, 1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, 1 c. sifted flour and 1/8 tsp. salt (optional), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Cream together butter and cream cheese until smooth.
Combine flour and salt.
Add half of flour to cheese mixture; mix well, then add remaining flour and mix thoroughly.
Shape dough into a ball.
Wrap in wax paper and chill until pastry is easily handled. Roll out on lightly floured board.
Bake at 450Β° about 10 to 12 minutes or until lightly browned.
Cool before filling.
