Cranberry Sauce Cake
Cranberry Sauce Cake is an impressive dinner. Made with 1/2 c. plus 1 tbsp. margarine, 1 c. sugar, 1 beaten egg, 1/4 tsp. almond extract and 1 c. raisins, soaked in hot water to plump, then drain), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Cream margarine and sugar.
Add egg and almond extract.
Cream again.
Sift together the flour, salt, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, cloves and allspice.
Set aside.
Dry raisins on paper toweling.
Mix raisins with a tablespoon or two of the dry ingredients.
Add raisins to creamed mixture.
Add dry ingredients and blend well.
Add cranberry sauce, mixing well.
Pour into a greased 9-inch angel food pan.
Bake in preheated 350Β° oven 1 hour or until it tests done.
