Country-House Chocolate Fudge
Country-House Chocolate Fudge is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 4 1/2 c. sugar, 1 tsp. salt, 1 stick oleo, 1 can evaporated milk and 1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

Boil together the sugar, salt, oleo and milk.
Gently boil for 8 to 10 minutes.
Start timing after mixture has reached full gentle boiling point.
Remove from heat.
Add all chocolates; stir until melted.
Add Marshmallow Crème and vanilla; stir until all mixed.
Add nuts.
Pour into greased pans or cookie sheets.
Cool several hours, then cut to store in airtight containers.
Keep cool.
One batch makes 12 pounds.
