Grease 2-quart baking dish.
Beat egg whites until stiff but not dry; beat egg yolks.
Stir corn meal and salt into scalded milk, beating hard.
Cook for a few seconds over low heat, stirring like thick mush.
Blend in butter and corn, then baking powder.
Fold in yolks, then whites.
Pour into baking dish.
Bake at 375Β° for about 30 minutes or until knife in center comes out clean.
