Corn Bread
Corn Bread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/2 c. yellow corn meal, 1 c. all-purpose flour, 1/3 c. sugar, 1 tsp. salt and 1 tbsp. baking powder, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

Preheat oven to 400Β°.
Sift into a bowl corn meal, flour, sugar, salt and baking powder.
Melt butter and shortening.
Cool. Beat eggs lightly.
Add butter and shortening.
Stir in milk.
Add to dry ingredients and beat 1 minute until smooth.
Do not overbeat.
Butter a loaf pan.
Pour in batter.
Bake 30 minutes or until bread comes slightly away from edge of pan and is golden brown.
